메모 l 레전드(LEGEND) : 매드 테디 스미스('Mad'Teddy Smith)에 대해서

* 테디는 크레이 형제가 운영하는 '크레이 필름'의 멤버였다.

2. He was Closer to Ronnie Kray than to Reggie

* 테디는 로니보다 레지와 더 가까웠다.

3. Probably, because they were both openly homosexual

* 레지와 테디 둘다 오픈 동성애자였기 때문이다.

4. Teddy was a very clever man who wrote plays and scripts for television

* 테디는 연극과 방송 대본을 적기도 했으며 매우 똑똑했다.

* 테디는 신문에서 미친것과는 거리가 멀어보인다고 설명되어 있다.

크레이 형제들은 악명높은 존재였는데, 매드 테디는 그들을 무서워하지 않았던거 같다)

12. Teddy went on and told me that he was up in the west end 

a few night previously and had a row  in one of the clubs. 

the next day the krays sent a driver to pick him up and take him to their house. 

He told me that the twins had a go at him for causing trouble in one of the clubs 

that they were receiving protection money from. 

I half smiled because i could see the funny side of it.

but teddy wasn't smiling when he said 

"who the fuck do that Pair of fucking queer bastards think they are talking to?"

ㅅㅂ 이 이야기듣고 지금 퍼킹 퀴어 새끼들이라고 생각했지?(대충 이런 뜻..맞겠지? 오역주의)

* 이 때 테디는 술에 조금 취한 상태였고 화가나 있었다고 한다((테디는 술이 들어가면 싸늘해지는듯)

13. He would go into one, not unlike a lot of other people, i'm sure.

But the truth is, the twins were really getting the hump with him because

he was gettig drunk around the clubs that they had an interset in.

the club owners knew thst Teddy was a member of the Kray Firm.

Besides that, it was beginning to look like the Krays had no control over

their Firm with Teddy misbehaving

* 크레이그 형제들은 술에 취해있는 테디를 매우 언짢아했고, 나중에는 테디의 비행을 감당하지 못하기 시작했다.

14. Teddy smith did a lot for the Twins. he caused some damage in hew McCowan's Club,

which led to a court case.

* 테디는 크레이 형제들을 위해서 많은걸 했음. 그들에게 몇가지 피해를 입히기도 함(법정까지...)

15. Teddy smith was also a Kray confident. He was the guy who drove mitchell off the Moor 

and before that wrote Mitchell's letters to the newspapers requesting a release date.

In fact, he knew every aspect of the Frank Mitchell murder from of the Twins' arrest 

he would have been a perfect witness.

16. Reggie Fray killed Teddy Smith

* 테디는 레지가 죽였다고 함(레지가 후에 고백했음)

태론이가 레전드에서 맡게 된'매드 테디 스미스'는 정확히 말해서, 로니의 애인이기 보다는 같은 성적취향을 가진 동료이자 각자의 욕망을 채우는데 있어서 상부상조하는 관계였던거 같다.(이 욕망은 성적인 텐션도 해당될 듯). 매드 테디는 누구의 편도 아닌 그저 유동적으로 자기의 이익에 따라 움직이는 똑똑한 여우같은 캐릭터 같다. 기본적으로 평소에는 신사적인데 술만 들어가면 싸늘해지고 난폭한 성미가 폭발하는 성향인거 같음. 테디의 애인인 정치가 톰 드라이버그를 통해서 로니가 사교계로 진출할 수 있게 도움을 주는데 큰 역할을 했다는 이야기도 있다. 전반적으로 테디는 크레이 형제랑 잘 어울리다가도 자기 수틀리면 깽판놓고 엿먹이기도 하고 그랬더라.. 찾아보니 종 잡을 수 없는 대범하고 남다른 사람이였던건 확실하다. 정상일 때와 수 틀릴 때가 완전 달라서 'Mad'라는 애칭이 더 잘 어울리거 같다. 

이런 매드 테디의 캐릭성을 영화에서 얼마나 효율적으로 살릴지 모르겠지만, 크레이 형제들에게 미치는 영향력만 봐도 입체적이고 주체적인 캐릭터기 때문에 잘 뽑혔으면 좋겠다.(태론이의 테디 연기가 너무 궁금해진다....에그시랑은 정반대캐야..)
